Evo X Rally Antilag
I had noticed in the AP software that there was a "floor" and "ceiling" to the timing maps so on a whim I decided to play with rally style pop and bang like we have on the IX. So the initial is succesful but like the IX, without the ISCV/DBW stuff to make it open on decel (decel timer) it is not as effective as it could be.
Has anyone looked into the ISCV stuff in the X code?

the electronic throttle handles iscv duties on the 10. the evo 10 idle control code is even more complicated than on the evo 8/9. i worked through some of it a few years ago during ecuflash dev for the 10, but i gave up when i realized it could consume my life for no tangible gain.
yeah my V2 will have some of this stuff included..
basically have an antilag map (which might double as the launch map)
and then I might examine the idle routines to see if we can use one of the many idle maps as a decel idle map...

David,
That would be what I need is just decel idle control and decel fuel timers. It seems that the decel fuel timer is about the same as the IX (995ms) which is plenty I have found. I use the ISCV in my car for the "throttle kicker" and I also have the bypass solenoid if I needed it more intense.
For the X realistically it shouldnt be needed since we have DBW and we can keep the antilag Grp N legal still.

i had a tuner from the EU /a very good one/ and i tried to get away with tune with a stock ECU, but it didnt worked. I needed to upgrade for the ALS. According to him there is no true ALS can be achieve on the stock ecu.
Why doesnt work , i dont know, but i got a same answer from all the EU tuners who i asked, those guys are tune cars for ALS for the rally -rally cross etc.
But i know there is a its called the "Pops and Bangs" maps for the stock ecu's, with sort of launch control. Probably i can get that map if i ask nicely
But that is not a true ALS which will keep the boost up over 12psi or more at off throttle, etc. main purpose of those maps to imitate the rally car sound, nothing more or less.
Also with the ALS i have, it makes different level of ALS at different RPM range. Like lower rpm is stronger ALS as the rpm goes higher the ALS makes less boost, there for makes the turbo life longer and happier. He said that is only possible because we have a Drive by wire system. Also it has a fail safe, after 7 sec it turns off so you will not cook the turbo. Launch program is always on , but as soon as the wheel spinning it will turns off.
That is all i know, about the X ALS and rally ecu system. But Aaron if you need to talk to any of those guys i might can get some info for you, or e-mail - phone number . You just need to write the question so i can forward it, and pm it me .
They might help.

We build 15psi off throttle with the air injection and this method on the IX (Andrew's car, EvoRS06). My car is around 7-8psi right now and it would be more I think if we lengthened the fuel supply (or if I open the bypass solenoid). It will just make the sound as you pointed out UNLESS we can give it extra air which is what I am doing with just the idle motor.
