Why is the RPM plot all zig zaggy too? Is it that violent that it bucks the car enough to do that?

I'm also curious if you have messed with the 3D MAP tables in this region?

Yeah, the car was bucking pretty badly when the timing started jumping up and down. That was definitely a worst case example. We have several logs from last night were it would just go lean and not pull timing. In those instances, the bucking was more mild.

Haven't touched the 3D MAP tables. In order to tune those properly, I feel like I need to be able to simultaneously log MAF load, MAP load, and "load in-use". I've been meaning to give a laundry list to tephra to see if it can be incorporated into ATR/EvoScan, but I've been too busy with other things.

I asked about that for my build at some point I think and I think Bryan said VE tables remain unchanged.

I change the VE tables for anything that changes airflow. I'm crazy like that.

well a quick google reveals that apparently compratio only has a small affect on VE.

however god knows what mitsu really expect out of those 3xMAP tables..

I reckon you should log the 3 loads (final, MAP-based, MAF-based) and see if the final is being unduly influenced..

Does that mean only the turbo then? Or do you consider displacement to change airflow?

Wish I could be more help on this thread but the cobb doesn't give the best logs and nor do i have any experience in tuning. This is defiantly the same issue going on with my X tho. I'm hoping and praying you guys can find a solution to this. I'm just thankful tho that I can still DD the car w/o causing damage to the engine.

If there is anything I can do please let me no.

I must add that when I put on the open pod synapse intake (with no heat shield) on the stock injectors, the lean out issue between 2k and 3k did not happen. The fuel trims did start to drift up and down but not the issue we're talking about here. It only started after installing the 1100cc injectors, fuel reg etc (still on Aussie 98 ron) (which i think is the equiv to US 93) so it is probably linked to low loads on larger injectors.

Do you have lean spool turned off?

Have you tried putting it in Open Loop and tuning the "14.7" part to actually output 14.7. The map's 14.7 may actually be 16 on the AFR gauge.

haven't done it, but i plan too. hoping i can get cobb to add map load, maf load, and whatever load or airflow parameter is being used for ipw calc to their item available for logging. would make it easier.
