It will most likely throw a code either way, just plan to have it turned off when getting tuned.

Easiest is to turn it off in the ECU. Spacers on Xs and 4G Eclipses are very hit and miss. What works on one car does not always work on another. We sell spacers for guy that are scared of flashing or for cars that cant turn off the code in the ECU.

I cant imagine someone that has built DSM stuff would be having you ask this question though. Isn't it the same with every car on the planet? If you don't want a CEL light you have one sensor before the cat and one sensor after the cat? And if no cat you need a mechanical fix (spacer of some sort) or turn off the code in the ECU?

yea he just said hes never done an exhaust on an x and dident know how thay would turn out he said i would probly have to turn it off thro the ecu, the thing i need to get is a Tactrix cable right? and when it throws the light will it send the car into limp mode i know hondas when the check engin comes on it goes into a limp mode and throws a load more gas in the motor, why i have no idea just wouldering if the evos did the same.

Its a maybe. Mine didn't for ~5 months and then came on twice in a week. Its really best to just flash the ECU.

I have had a test pipe on my RSX for years with a CEL, the car never went in limp mode.

You want to keep the sensors for logging, though?

Is that a question?

Logging narrowband O2 is nearly pointless... but you are only disabling the rear sensor and/or the CEL.
