need some help : DTC P2001 code

Hey need some help guys.

I did a search for the dtc codes but this one isn't in any of the lists I've come across.

The code I'm getting from evoscan is P2001. It doesn't say what it is, just the code.

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks guys.

I guessing by your icon this is for an evo X. This code is not normally active for the X. Is your rom modified? It is possible that someone typo'd a hex on a dtc disable, and it caused a random code to be set. I have seen this before, even been victim to it on one occasion.

The generic for this code is NOx Trap efficiency below threshold wich does not apply to the evo.

Yeah, sorry. it is an evo ten. I saw the same genric Nox trap come up when I googled it.

I am on a modified rom, but this dtc is a first.

So.....at least it not a major car issue, which is good. Now, how do I get rid of it?

Double check to make sure any disables or switches that are set in the rom by changing hex are correct. Ie anything you enter an 0x____ to change, like the p0247 disable for example. If they are all correct, I recommend you send the rom to either Tephra or Golden so they can check the code for errors. Also make sure the MUT table didn't get a value changed by accident to something that shouldn't be there. You can do that visually by comparing to a known good rom one block at a time. Kind of a pain, but the guys that can actually check the code for errors are usually pretty swamped.

If you do send it to Tephra or Golden, please donate something for time.
