Fmic worth it before tune..

Taking my evo x mr to get tu Ed pretty soon. Currently have an ams widemouth dp, turbo xs hfc, ets v2 cbe, injen intake with uicp. Just trying to find out if getting a fmic before tuning would be worth it or not. Ive read a bunch of opinions and saw mixed answers..

Most would say with your mods a FMIC upgrade is not needed. Spend the money on cams.

I thought cams aren't worth till a new turbo upgrade.

The FMIC I beleive will make a difference if you track or consistently drive your car conisitantly spirited.

Think about the future of where you want to go. If you are gonna stick with your stock turbo/block (cams) dont bother with the FMIC however if you wanna change em up get the FMIC now instead of later... The stock FMIC is actually pretty damn good, only good for the stock stuff though

example: I know I was gonna replace the turbo when the time came and my very first mods were FMIC, intercooler piping, full tbe and intake + tune. I got the FMIC out the way first because it is always good to have parts that are "extra" for what you have unless we are talking about fuel systems...

Intercooler isnt going to be a huge power changer, but it does help and is always a good mod for turbo cars to have. Especially reducing heat soak, making your power more consistent with the better cooler. Before a tune i would recommend at least getting a wideband. And you can get an ebc and bov too!

I would say if your gonna upgrade turbos down the road such as someone suggested then I would say yes. But if your gonna keep stock turbo and just enjoy it then I would say no.

im sure im gonna upgrade the turbo eventually. id love to do a tune after upgrading the turbo, but other then an fmic and wideband any mods that would b a definite must before hand? also i read on a post that for the X boost controllers are kinda pointless..
