Just curious if this has been tested to work with an Openport 2.0 now? I'll send you a PM but if it works please release the details and we can donate some money for putting in the research time.

Yup, just go to the ETACS Decoder forum and download the latest version. I believe you need to be a registered user in order to do so. You can change settings in the program and then write them back to the car (or "encode") 3 times per day for free. You have to pay for more writes (or "requests on ED server") and for all the full features of the program.

It's not the most straight-forward program, and the creator's first language is Russian, but there is plenty of info on their forums, and you can get help there from other users. Make sure you read the FAQ!

And this for Tactrix users:
http://etacsdecoder.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=240

As for how and what to change, you can use Google to translate these pages into English:
http://mmc-manuals.ru/Mitsubishi_Lancer_X:_Customizing

Some settings are a little complicated and require several other options to be set to get them to work. TPMS should be pretty simple, I think it's just a matter of: Hit Decode to retrieve your current settings from the car. Go to Variant Coding, find TPMS Information, and set it to Not Present. Then hit Encode to write it back to the car.

CAVEAT: I had Vadimus disable TPMS for me, and a few other things too, so I don't know what else he may have to be changed to get it to work properly. For example, to get the sunroof to close with a double-press of the lock button on your remote, several different settings need to be changed.

Yeah i managed to get the tpms and Foglights set up

But that was after a butt pucking moment where i figured out that abs and acd control had to be turned on as well.. Weird that it wasn't already

Id like to screw around a bit more but im kinda scared of turning things on an off... Plus i don't have a sunroof lol

With ETACS Decoder version 4.0.0.10 ? Yeah, it seems to have some issues that 4.0.0.9 didn't, especially with 2010 models. One thing that might help is if you are trying to do variant coding, do that (and only that) with the ignition in ACC instead of ON.

I'm hoping a new, more reliable version will be out soon, as 4.0.0.9 will no longer communicate with the servers.

Hi Vadimus,

Which item do I need for TPMS? The red one (ED server) or blue one (Tool access)?

If I disable TPMS and want to re-enable it later for some reason (selling the car for example), will I have to have a dealer reprogram my sensors or will it reuse the information that was present prior to disabling?

Sensor programming stays, just re-enable TPMS once you have same sensors back.
