What do you mean by lit up? With the exception of the lights on the outside that move as the readout changes, and the actual readout itself, there are no other lights.

There is a sensor located near the middle of the gauges that detect light though. During the daytime, when it detects light, it will brighten the display. At night, when there is no light shining on it, it will dim.

I thought the gauges would glow at night. But I actually like it this way now. Less distraction to my eyes at night.
