Recommend turbo for 400/400 on stock block plus pump gas
I needed the MAP EF2.5 to get 400 WTQ; my current is 425 WHP/400 WTQ on pump gas, stock block, and stock cams. An EF2 or Green will be able to hit 400+ WHP on pump, but will require cams to get 400+ WTQ.
Depending on your mod situation and tuner the BBX Lite should be able to get you close if not there. The tq number is going to be the harder part - but you should remember that it drops off rather quickly on turbos that are being run to high PSI.
You should also do a lot of comparisons of actual dynos because many can spike above 400 with a boost curve that's too tight and immediately drop 20-30tq as the spike settles. These stock framers aren't cheap and all behave differently on different cars.
Better yet - call a couple of shops selling stock frame turbos and ask some well informed questions. Getting the information from the horses mouth is great with reliable shops.

The car is currently making 321/321 on PRS's mustang dyno on the stock turbo. Off the bat with fuel upgrades and tune I would like to safely make low 400's and keep the torque around 350 safely. Why the EF3? Because it leaves room for improvement. If/when I decide to do cams, I can.. but I can still use it as safe, streetable "bolt-on" solution.

here is the deal... you want to be on pump gas... and want to make 400 AWHP.... this is what you need
its plain and simple.. fp green and ef2 WILL get you to 400.. with little room to grow... an FP red, or ef3 will get you beyond that... it is really up to you... I personally chose an fp green.. it was like 1100 with all the options to get my stock turbo rebuilt. it worked for my budget., but it might not for you...
despite what all of us say online.. you really need to sit down and think about what you want to do with the car... because for example.. changing cams... changes entirely how the car drives ( i have my write up that i will be posting shortly.. after a month of having my cams in.. and all the different things tha i ahve notices.
changing a turbo away from the stock frame turbo will also change how the car drives.. i.e. boost lag... boost curve... how hard the boost hits... seriously do some more research adn dont just post on the forum.. watch videos look at dyno charts and see where the boost is and how it feels... see if there is anyone that lives near you and see if they will give you a ride in their car with that setup.. CALL the shops.. and talk to them.. not just one.. 5 of them.. see how they feel about it.. it isnt about brand or name.. is it about performance in what you want your car to do.. for example.. if you auto x.. dont bother going to a map turbo or a green.. they wont spool in time.. ( just from personal experience ) if you drag race.. an ef3 or fp red or black..
most of all.. good luck..
