This is not true.
You will need an adapter kit for anything but the DW65c pump, and you will need PnP adapters/harnesses for most fuel injectors unless you want to hack up your stock wiring harness and solder them in (I do not recommend this; ID's PnP harnesses work very well).

I have ID1000's on my car, the only way they're "direct fit" is if they're now including the PnP harnesses in the box; when I purchased mine they were optional. Great injectors though, definitely the best aftermarket fuel injector I've ever used.
