Can you tune an MR's reaction to shifts and/or deceleration

Is it possible to tune for different exhaust characteristics on shifts with an MR(aka SST automanual)? I'd like to get a little backfire crackle or something similar on either WOT upshifts and/or during downshift deceleration. I downshift brake a lot since I'm always in gear.

I believe AMG is using a valve in the exhaust for at least some of this but it's a good example of where I'd like to be able to effect the exhaust note at 1:35

Is this doable?
Is it safe for a daily driver?
Can it vary by shift mode? I think mode effects the amount of time it engages the retard but I don't know what else is or can be effected.
Would it require additional or special hardware to do?

I think this probably matters as well so I'll add that I have a catted 3" TBE and ram air intake among a few other things that probably matter less.

Any info is greatly appreciated, I'll be at the tuners later this week.
