Buying Evo with bad air/fuel timing?
I'm looking around for my first evo and found a decently cheap 2008 MR. I called the dealer and he said the timing for the air/fuel mixture is off and needs tuned.
Is this worth buying? I feel like it would be an easy/cheap fix however I've never worked on an engine this advanced or this new, I really don't have a clue what to think about it.

"the timing for the air/fuel mixture is off"
That statement is nonsensical. And, dealers typically auction cars that have issues like that, or even modifications. I would stay away, probably cheap for a reason..

Do you have a good local tuner shop that you could take it to for a PPI and look at the tune. It may be worth it if the car is in good condition and the price is right. Did you check for mods?
