First my issue - Evo X with GTX3076 at 25psi and it seems like it is slower than with the stock turbo.

The whole story.
This is the first Evo X which I tune.
Been a bit of a learning curve.

Last year I was running the stock turbo/cams/maf/injectors and it worked fine.
This winter I installed ETS GTX3076 turbokit , FIC2150, 3.5" MAF and GSC S2 cams
It took quite a while to figure out injector scaling and some other driveability stuff.

So on to power tuning ignition,mivec and AFR on 25psi running around 11ish AFR's and about 6 degrees timing after spoolup.
But it feels like it is slower than before with the stock turbo.

I have done a pressure leakage test
checked the Blow off valve "stock metal one"
Thought at one point that the throttle plate was'nt opening all the way but I cant really verify that , eg cant find a way to log that in evoscan.

If anyone has some ideas I would be really grateful

tuning from my understanding is quite diffrent from the evo 8 the a X with the mivec. maybe its just as simple as poor tuning on your part? Not saying it is but just a suggestion. as if all else the same it should be faster..

 

I agree that it could very well be bad tuning.

I have though seen mivec maps from other Evo X running similar turbos, and have been using those maps but that didnt change any thing

 

Get help from a pro tuner ( Baka, Golden, etc) they are amazing. Tell them your mods, they will send you a base map from which to start on.
