No sound at ALL... help appreciated ...

Ok I got my sub/amp to work correctly last night, afterwards i closed everything up and went to bed. Well i planned on securing all wires and connections today so I went ahead and did that, but now NOTHING works, I don't just mean the sub and amps, not even the stock speakers are producing sound of any kind. The cd player (stock h/u) still appears to be spinning up and the time ticks away on the songs, but the speakers don't seem to be working. I checked the fuses in both the engine compartment and under the driver side dash that are labeled "RADIO" according to the owners manual. They appear to be in working order. And i dont see why they would cause the problem since the H/U still turns on. Are there specific fuses for the speakers that the manual does not mention or is there anything else that could cause this problem? All it did was sit over night
Help would be appreciated,

wes

are the stock speakers connected to the amp? and did you check the fuses that connect to the amp (there should be one near the battery and one on the amp itself) if that doesn't help get see if thereare any crossed wires or any screws that you drilled in that went right through a wire or something! hope everything works out

wierd... Do you still get power to your amp? Also double check all the wires, seems to me maybe something got disconnected on the back of the HU. If the HU plays and no sounds maybe when you were securing the wires you may of pulled them out, but that still wouldn't explain why the stock speakers aren't working. Again, double check all connections.

stock speakers aren't connected to the amp, and the amp does still power on... the only possibility i see right now is a loose wire to the sub came out and touched the positive post which would have grounded it out i believe. However I dont see how that would affect the stock speakers! except for the fact that i spliced the RCA lines off of the back speakers to the amp... all related fuses are intact as far as i can tell =\

thanks for everyone's advice, i got it fixed, the wires coming out of my passanger side back speaker that i spliced off from came out of their crimp and touched each other grounding out... had to rip things back apart to fix it, but its all good. Im a little suprised all the speakers stopped working because one was grounded out, i guess they're all interconnected.
Thanks again
