How do I remove the pillars on the sides of the windshield where the tweeters are in 05 Lancers with the 7 speaker premium sound system?
I ask because I might be changing them and rewiring the whole car so my Alpine hu works properly, and bypassing the factory amp and sub.
All the speakers in this car are wired through a single big, fat din cable that plugs into the factory Infinity hu, and no adapter is made yet for this new premium system that works well, so rewiring speakers is my only choice to install my Alpine.
Aftermarket amp and sub will be added later, just want the Alpine to power the 6 speakers in the car without the sub.

 

i think you just grab it and rip it out carefully, there should only be a few plastic push type plugs holding it in

Carefully pry it away ( using flat screwdriver) from the the rubber molding near the door jams and pull. Bingo...
