Cobb access port GSR tune work on MR?

Hi There,

Just a quick question I had a 2013 GSR which was stolen and recovered. Being it was stolen for so long and damged significantly the insurance company has paid out my loan and now I'm in the process buying a stock 2013 MR which I should have by next week.

My question is on my Cobb accessport which was still in my recovered GSR, I had a stage 1 tune from my tuner loaded on it which was just a tune for the stock car with a k/n air filter to the factory air box which raised the stock power heaps!

Will this tune work ok on the MR? Or will the auto start tripping out and not work properly with a tune for the GSR?

I want to do this only until my new turbo, exhaust transcooler and cams arrive and installed then the car will be properly re tuned on the dyno.

Thanks heaps

Fairly certain it won't work especially considering it was written for your previous vehicle. Even if it was unlocked, it wouldn't work due to the differences between the GSR and the MR. Also, our SST's really don't like the Cobb. There's a lot of documented issues with Cobb tunes on MR's. I'd sell it and get a good Open Source tune. I've personally used the Cobb on my SST and it was garbage! Shifts were wonky, it was like the trans had a mine of its own. More power to you if you want to risk it.

No, you will not be able to use the same map. I don't think you could even load it because each car has a different ID, and I don't think you would be able to save it in your ATR in the standard license. There is a Pro version for tuners which has less limitations.
