2015 lancer evolution help!!
Hello!
Congrats on the Evo!
Since the Evo have been around for ages now, there are alot of different paths you could take when modifying the car. Search around, I believe there is a section for Evo builds on here. Very informative.
Having said that, some "mods" you could do for now are:
1. Read, ALOT - there are myriad of different opinions about certain mods, or ideas concerning Evos. Make sure you read and understand all sides, and make your decisions based off your preference.
2. Be proactive when it comes to maintenance AND prevention of problems. For example, two bucket car wash, or if you can afford a clear bra, or mudflaps to prevent stone chips.
3. Driver mod. When I first got my car, I told myself "no mods until warranty ends"... then "no power mods until warranty ends"... and then "no power mods until next year". Long story short: It could be VERY tempting to mod the car, but keep in mind it is also very easy to ruin the car's driving dynamics and whatnot when modded wrongly. Just take your time to learn about how the "stock" car feels and drives. What it does and does not like.
Enjoy the Evo!

This is me. Outside of minor aesthetic stuff, I don't plan on nodding AT ALL, nor driving hard until I'm familiar AND comfortable with the car.
I've been doing research on stuff for a while now, these boards are pretty helpful.

- Read, Read, Read
- Do lots of research before you do anything
- Bolt ons should be accompanied by a tune
- Get a boost and AFR gauge
- Keep up on maintenance
- Don't use cheap parts
- Read the "Things Evo Owners should know" sticky
- Welcome to the community!
