ABS module working in an RS EVO X?
Hi Guys posted this message under brakes and wheels but I think the problem is software related.
We have a problem with our 08 EVO X RS Australian Model, I need to get the ABS working in the RS model has anyone tried this yet? The car is used for Tarmac rally and ABS in the wet is very handy
We have the ABS module but we are having trouble with the body control unit comunicating with the ABS unit the ABS module is out of a road car EVO X
Can anyone please help?
Cheers Scott

The ETACs seem to be the primary brain here .. it needs to know that you have an ABS module fitted .. so I guess you need to bring it to mitsubishi Aus to program the ETACs to recognise the ABS module..maybe the ECU too .. We needed to do the same for RS models fitted with Aircon ..

hello,
May i know how you make it work?
I notice that the WSS controler at the back says ABS unit.
I swap a lancer GT abs unit into the EVO and by changing the codding in the ETACS I was able to make it work, but I have to change the differential as 2WD in the ETACS so the module would work with the EVO (not good)
I was thinkin in editing the eeprom of the ABS unit and play with it so It could work with 4WD (ATC)
any ideas?
Thanks

I have just fitted air con components into my X RS, had it gassed and my dealer can't get it activated.
Can you tell me what needs to be changed in the ETACS?
Cheers
