Benefits of link ecu?

I'm on stock ecu evo 9. Flex fuel tune. I've been looking for 6 months for a computer upgrade. Better idle, drivable, launch control, no lift to shift. I'm e85 fp red. Will I notice any difference with link over stock. It's hard to justify that kind of money with little hp gains. How has link. Advantages and disadvantages????

You are in the wrong subforum for an Evo 9 but I will give you an answer.

Advantage Stock Ecu:
A complete mapping takes less time. With just a few settings you can get there quickly.

Disadvantage:

The options are limited. Antilag/Rolling Launch or Flatshift with Ignitioncut are not possible. Only two maps can be driven. Large differences in altitude can be a problem on SD.

Advantage Aftermarket Ecu:
Special features like ALS, Rolling Launch, Ethrottle... are possible.
Two fuel/ignition maps are also possible but e.g. a boostswitch with over 12+ positions.
Cancheck Gauge is possible for displaying all values (but here for example, a Maxx Ecu has an advantage because it has Bluetooth and all values can also be displayed via app on the smartphone and even a mapswitch works via the smartphone). Things like Overrun Fuelcut are easy to implement. Fulltime Lambda Closedloop, several engine protection mods are possible.

The Link and other Ecus also reliably supports the stock knock sensor.
