Innovate ECB-1 Logging to EvoScan

Hey guys,

I have an Innovate ECB-1 gauge installed which comes with a 4-pin output to serial com port, however when plugged into the laptop, evoscan does not recognize any com ports and won't let me log afr data from the ECB-1. Can someone give me a step by step on how to log afr data to evoscan from the ECB-1? I spoke to Innovate and they told me that the 4-pin connection only works with their software and I would need a device that send the analog data from the ECB-1 to my laptop in order to log AFR with a 3rd party software. Can someone give some guidance on this.

Does it also have a 0-5v analog output?
I use that one my aem gauges with a dlp io8 to log my wideband, oil pressure and an additional boost sensor.

yes it has analog outputs for wideband, ethanol, and fuel temp. I’m just confused on how the wiring would work, I’m not good with electrical at all

Yea, so you can use the same setup I use. The wiring is in the manual, you hook those and a ground to the io8.
Then in evoscan you setup the dlp io8 and setup the equations for each one based on the manual.
It is pretty simple

I figured it out, the instructions on Innovate's web

site are not correct. The yellow analog wideband wire did not have power for some reason, instead I had to splice into the white wire in the 4 pin OUT connector and run the wire to a serial port like the one you provided, as well as a ground wire to the same port.

Their documentation is likely right.

A quick read shows the yellow as the wideband output from the gauge in 0-5v with the equation in the table there as well. That is the wire you should be hooking to the analog to serial convertor I linked. I don't know what you spliced into for that serial in/out connector but it isn't going to work with the converter I linked correctly.
