To give you an idea. With the stock manifold, turbo, and heat shielding removed you can fit something roughly the size of a basketball back there.

Jon is right, the install will be a PITA for sure.

The only issue that I see coming up is that of heat. Yes there is a hood scoop, but the manifold glows red at WOT. Only time will tell.

I dont see people making a rotated mount kit. There is enough room.

I foresee a lot of rotated turbo kits in the future like the RSX pic.

+1 on the RSX. When I was first trying to help engineer turbo kits for the RSX, the biggest we could put between the firewall and the motor was a 35R.

The full race RSX kit uses a vertical flow FMIC with the inlet and outlet both on the driver side of the IC... fitting piping is a bish! Is that a possibility with the X? Is there enough room around the front driver side of the engine bay to run two 2.5" pipes comfortably?

I would want to leave the turbo in the stock location if possible, but the kits like the RSX kit look pretty good.

Just relocate the turbo behind the rear axle by the muffler like the STS kits for Camaros The long pipe back up front eliminates the need for an intercooler
