The suction pipe looks badass though. I really hope that regadless of whatever sized maf housing is chosen, that the aluminum suction pipe is still part of the kit. It looks so awesome having the aluminum, large diameter piping running all the way back to the turbo. It really ties in so well with the intercooler piping and creates a complete, finished look. Without that, the intercooler piping looks lonely, if you know what I mean. BTW, I noticed on the AMS website that there are multiple intakes for the evo 9, why is this? The cone filter and maf housing seems to be the best, but I noticed that you guys carry AEM and some others company's products as well. Do these intakes mess with the ecu at all? The reason that I ask is that I have a friend who has an evo 9, and he put an injen intercooler pipe and intake kit on it, and the car ran like ****. It wouldn't even hit full boost anymore, which I thought was especially strange. The car only hit like 14 psi, instead of the normal 19 psi. Why is this do you think?, and do you guys test both your intakes and the other intake kits that you carry to make sure that this is not an issue? Sorry for asking so many questions in one post, but I these things have been itching at me for a while now.

Thanks for the nice words.

The reason we have a few intake pipe choices for the EVO IX is that with proper tuning they do well on the car. You cannot put an intake pipe on an EVO IX and not have it tuned. The MAF is too sensitive. Its why when you put an Injen on your friends car that off the bat it ran bad.

Back on the X topic we are going to be releasing before and after Dynocharts for each product we made and tested. This way you will know EXACTLY how much HP and TQ you can expect from adding an AMS component on the car. Some of the numbers were really surprising.

I'm sorry guys we had a bunch of production meetings to jump into and we got off track. I will have something for you guys tonight. Martin is typing up his final thoughts on what we have done thus far. You all will be VERY pleased with our findings.
