I don't think there is any question that AMS has done some amazing work here - but some folks just don't like the appearance of the exhaust, and fewer still appreciate the sound. I'm in the second camp. The question I have is whether I can keep the power and tone down the sound in a stock like dual config. I guess I simply don't like the 4 banger sound, but I certainly dig the X with added power.

I completely agree. I went from an Evo 8, to E46 M3 to G37 and now back to Evo X. I like it deep and smooth. (I know...That's what she said)

Thanks for the info, I didn't know anything about the TI actually. But anyhow, I actually think the look of the exhaust is ok, just agree that it could be tighter to the body and as for sound it's nice and throaty but again just need to hear it on a warmer day.

Absolutely cool man....

I am from Singapore and i am probably going to put a deposit on the GSR next week. So sad that our Land transport authority ain't gonna approve this exhuast on our island!

Any chance of shipping the rest of your parts like the intake, intercooler and other stuff to singapore? hehehe.....

It does hang down pretty low. I'm guessing this is probably because the car's muffler cavity is in the middle of the tail, as it was designed for the dual exit, and not off to the side like the old single exit evo 9's were, thus why it hangs down so low. Clearance issues is my guess. It's why I'm waiting for the dual exit. I want the muffler completely hidden. All I want to see is tips.
Sti2EvoX, go jump on a politically correct free speech bandwagon somewhere else. An open community like this doesn't need politically correct comments just for the sake of being nice. Perhaps certain people on here like yourself are the ones that cannot handle the honest and constructive opinions and rhetoric of others without having your feelings hurt.

With the above being said...

I complimented AMS on the sound of the system but criticized them on the tail of the design. Granted that may not be the final design; but as it stands right now that design needs more work, ALOT more work, especially on the tail end of the car. Apart from that, it's a nice clean design and looks solid on the underside of the car pre-muffler, and looks great.

I am not here for a dog and pony show, only to give my honest opinion about what is being asked of the community in regards to the system. I think AMS is big enough to handle a little constructive criticism so they can meet both the design, sound, and performance expectations of the future owners of their products...

I personally will take my money to the company who releases an aggressive sounding, deep tone, no resonator option, dual exhaust.

I love AMS, but I don't want a single tip exhaust for a dual exhaust car. Nor do I want a tame sound, I love loud.

Hey, do not forget to offer a QUIET exhaust system for those who like a silent run!
