whoops my bad, hehe....
so, when mounting the rings, you just basically place the rings where you want them and then fleece it like you did to hold it in place, or did you make sure they stayed put, like with.....glue or something?

Put glue (or anything make someting sticks) top of the rings then put the fleece around it and glue the fleece to the surface and wait until it's tight in place.
just like on this one.

hmmm, this project looks worth doing, I dunno if I can make it happen though. The steps seem simple, but I bet its a lot harder than it looks from yer pics....heh
May give it a try some time in the future though. Nice job and write up Flip.

I give you mad props for even thinking of replacing the rear deck with a fiberglass enclosure. You might want to explain the fleece steps a bit more and maybe bold it since the pictures you posted are out of place with the rest of the project. I know you put the pictures there for reference, but get into a little more detail about the fleecing steps.
Also explain what size speakers you were mounting, what issues you had to plan ahead for (mounting depth), and what issues you ran into.
Otherwise, excellant job. Get us some more, better quality pictures of the final install.

For the fleecing, I am sorry if the other 2 pics is out of place. But I have a long "fleecing" instruction save in Microsoft Word. If you want it please PM with your email.
I will take more pictures later. My car is in the shop right now.
Thanks for all the compliments.

i have a question about this. I am doing the same project on my car but was wondering how you went about mounting it into the car? Did you just take the stock mounting peices and glue them to the finished fiberglass peice?

Ahhhh, I'll just take pics.....

.. good night
