My First Mods...

To be completely frank, I honestly thought the EVOX was a betrayal from Mitsubishi to all enthusiasts. Then I took a test drive on the EVOX and I immediately loved it and took it home that night. Anyways, I'm getting my car ready for the track, and I got a Robispec KW suspension setup (includes rear sway bar, adjustable sway bar links front/back, adjustable front mount braces, corner balancing, and alignment). I also got a agency power blow off valve (I like the sound), and Project U track pads.

AND MANY THANKS TO JON at VIVID RACING for helping me find an awesome suspension kit.

The result is AWESOME!!! Robi tuned it to a race spec, but it rides like a stock and has same amount of suspension travel. It's unbelievable. If you're going to spend between $3K~$4K on your new EVOX, this is a great investment. I'm confident that I can run under 1:31 at Streets of Willow. Here are some pics...

The car's weight with half of tank of gas is 3,500 lbs. And I found out that I gained 10 lbs through the holidays. I guess both EVO and I gained some weight. ..

Could you post some side shots of the car?? Very nice setup.. If you don't mind, how much does Robi charge for just the lowering components??

Thanks

The agency power blow off valve is adjustable. I had mine set to circulate 70%, and it works fine. The stock circulates 100%, and Jon from Vivid racing said that 50% is a really good setup.

I didn't take any good side shots, I'm such a dumba**. Here is a before picture, but overall, my car was lowered by 2 inch. Robi and Vivid Racing gave me a really good price since I'm the first one to get the production version of the KW setup. You can go to Robispec.com to get the pricing detail. It's not cheap though....but he spent around 8 hours installing and setting up my car. So you can only guess how much it costs.

Congrats on teh new X!!!

And great choice with suspension. I see this being very popular amongst the X community. Especially seeing that ride quality is so close to stock.

Sick setup, nice to see someone taking advantage of the new suspension components instead of pure power mods. I am jealous. Be sure to post those times when you go to the track.
