Vishnu Evo X acceleration tests
The extra 300 pnds is killing the times for sure.. Like Al said, its gona take a X more power to be in the same level as a IX due to the added weight..
Both Evo IX and X have cons and pros as we can see.. X makes more power but slower due to weight.. IX makes less power but faster due to lighter weight

You X fanboys are so stuck on the X, you actually try to BEND reality to make the X look perfect in EVERY case!
Soon we'll be seeing 9s with just a "partial" this and just "slightly" that..
"semi tune"...
even with a 3" TBE, filter, boost controller, and re-flash with a 6k rpm launch limit my VIII ran a best of 13.2 in the quarter. I'LL TAKE IT! can't wait till the X ecu gets cracked to move the launch control rev limit up a few ticks and get a decent launch to quiet the screeching haters...lol.
And you knock everything and all about the X. The fact is this. The car ran a 12.6 with a bad launch. THAT IS GOOD!!!!! With a good launch like the op said, should net 12.2-12.4 range. With a TUNE and an EXHAUST that = good times. With minimal mods. Man you crack me up, seems to be right on par with the IX's, but your right, I am just an X fan boy. Yea a X fan boy that still curently builds IX's and dsms, But your right Im a fan boy. Boostez, you are by far the most anoying person on this site. No its not because you make valid points, its because you have something negitive to say about every single post in this section.

OMG... my bad, on the semi deal. A TUNE, A TUNE, A TUNE. I was just thinking about how we dont have full capibilites for the ecu flash/hack yet. Thats what I was trying to say just came out wrong. Sooo sorry, next time Ill have you proofread my posts, before I post them.
I think by "semi-tune" he just meant it still has the limitations of the stock un-flashed ecu, including stock boost fuel cut and low rev limit for launching. i don't think he was belittling the tuning of the procede itself. so basically with an exhaust and a piggyback with the stock ecu the X runs mid 12's with a trap speed good for low 12's...plus amazing handling, better chassis, nicer styling, more options, plus it's safer and generally a nicer car. what a let-down lol...

To help put this in perspective. The 12.6 isn't really that impressive for right now, but seems like there is room for improvement. A IX with 350-360whp on a Dynojet (to match this X) is well known to easily run in the 11s. The extra weight kills the X. But, you need more mods on the IX to get to the 350-360whp power level (although it's very easy to get to this number on the stock turbo). Unless you significantly reduce weight in the X, the IX will always be much faster at the same power level.
So, pick your poison. Spend money (and sacrifice the creature comforts you bought the X for) to reduce weight in the X, or spend money on mods for the IX.

Also if you are trying to compare it to the 8/9s, those times can be had with the same mods on those cars and much less whp.
