Clutch delay valve (pill) removal complete

Removal complete:

Took 45 minutes. I followed this guide:

http://evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPa...5c77616b84523f

The X is exactly the same. One inportant thing to note is that it might not be neccessary to completely remove the slave cylinder from the vehicle. I did remove it, and then couldn't find the CDV. I then looked at my drip pan and sure enough it was there. So simply removing the banjo bolt completely might allow it to fall out. The CDV in the X is Plastic with a metal spring.

Impressions:

Keep in mind that I have only driven 10 minutes with it, but engagement is much more linear to me. I can now shift without any jerky movement.

I will post my impressions as time goes on.

^ Awesome thanks for stepping up and being one of the first to do this. Do you notice a improved shift from 1st to 2nd? That is my main concern.

On M3s that's where removing it really shines.

I am expecting that the notchiness is not going to be any different. The reason that I say this is because the car shifts great when shifted quickly after the clutch has been depressed, and worse when done slowly. This to me says that if it were a clutch disengagement issue that it would be the opposite. I am curious as to how the car feels when speed shifting and launching, though. I haven't launched my car, because I hate abusing the tranny, but I have noticed that when speed shifting the clutch seems to slip just for a split second before fully grabbing. This should be gone with that pill removed. Let us know...

You buy a sports car but expect it to be super smooth. I would've bought a cts-v if thats what you were worried about.
because you cant shift with it

It does not inhibit us from getting into gear, but it is a very noticeable grind/drag/notch that could be putting a wear on the gear synchronizer, which could lead to bigger problems. Also it is just plain annoying.
