Nisei Engineering UICP's 1pc or 2pcs
Hey everyone, I got a UICP on order with Nisei right now but, they have a couple of choices so far. I was just going to get a 1pc UICP in black but, they have matte black, Nisei black, and there coming out with red. I looked at there site today and they have 2pcs UICP. Is there a difference? What do you guys think? btw there 2pc UICP's are going to be a few bucks cheaper than the 1pc. is what they said. Here's the pictures I found on there site.

The pipes look excellent and the pricing is really good on the website. I only have two concerns. What kind of metal are they using for these pipes? And black actually attracts heat so is this going to warm up the air going into the intercooler?
You can't go wrong with either one of them. I'd just go with the 1pc just to be different I guess...

Nisei uses Hose Techniques so, I don't think you have to worry about the rubber. Hose Techniques uses a Silicone & Nomex blend which, is suppose to be the one of most durable combinations. The old skewl style is a Silicone & Fiberglass blend and the is suppose to become more brittle and will fail much sooner. The more heat & flex you subject the fiberglass to the quicker it going to fail. Not to mention there are many different grades of silicone used in the hoses today. So, Hose Techniques is not like china hoses.
I got this off of Hose Techniques site:
I'm sure you can get more hose info at www.HoseTechniques.com

Silicone's ability to withstand high engine heat is one reason, but it is also easy to clean, easy to install and due to silicone's unique properties, it has a long life over stock rubber hose. The high quality silicone you get from HoseTechniques beats any competition. What do we mean? Well, for starters, we use the highest-grade silicone available so that our hose will be free of impurities. The colors we add to the raw silicone are carefully chosen and monitored to be as color-consistent as possible. Our silicone hose is smooth on the inner walls, leading to better air flow. In comparison to standard black rubber stock OEM hose, silicone by its very nature, has longer life, and higher heat resistance and therefore is the best material to use to achieve high quality engine hoses. As such, we offer a limited lifetime warranty.
