This is very informative. I always wondered about tire height and how that affects performance.

Thanks for the info man!

that trap speed is low.. 11.4 should be a 117-118 trap at least.. I guess the gearing in the X is even shorter than the IX.. Good work thou!!

You are looking at it wrong. low ET coupled with low MPH means either really good 60ft or fantastic no lift shifting or both. I have driven this car. I drove it the day after they broke into the 11s. It felt like a 13 flat car to me. I am amazed at the times they are getting out of the power they are making. The MPH is a direct indication of the power they are making. When they went 11.99 at 110 Bushurs 10 was going 12.7 at 111 mph. Both setups were at about the same power.

The gearing is a tad shorter, but a shorter gear would result in faster acceleration and thus a higher mph assuming you didn't run out of gear.

There is no flash tool to raise the rev limit above 7500 yet. This means that the car will only attain 111mph on the rev limiter in fourth gear. An IX at 7800rpm (typical flashed limiter) will do 119mph. An VIII at 7800rpm (typical flashed limiter) will do 126mph.

If you shift to fifth gear, your trap suffers. If you hold fourth, your trap suffers.
True story. We need a shorter 5th.

gaining only 20MPH top-end doesn't seem right unless gearing is the culprit

what do you mean by "modified wheel" on the stock turbo? Is that something you guys will sell to the public? Also, did you modified the 255 walbro pump to fit it into the car?
