Will the final production have a better mounting point? It just seems to be twisting the hanger pretty good. Also wouldn't it be easier to just mount the O2 bung on the other side instead of bolting the bracket on the high flow cat? The exhaust looks top notch and I am looking forward to seeing the final production.

Thanks
CJ
Yup, it will have a support like a normal hanger, but in the amount of abuse it has had, its doing just fine. The hanger is not straight down thought either. Its slightly aimed to the back to keep tension on the system making sure its stays nice an snug on the car. No wiggling tips here!

We put the sensor on the same side as the stock exhaust to keep the sensors and wire lengths all the same. They way you don't have to tie up the wires, and worry about hem falling down and snagging on things like road kill as you go down the road. Also moving the sensors could be a violation of the emissions control devices.

Sorry for the delay!

I might have missed it but will there be a catback version available or will the catback bolt up to the stock cats?

The cat-back will bolt up to the OEM cats as well as the PERRIN Catalyst Replacements. So either way no concern. Please let me know if I can help further!

How about an update fellas....any ETA on when this might be available?

Looks like a great product and am very interested in purchasing. I just hope I can slap a 35R with 500whp in the car, and the exhaust be able to handle it. If so, I am in!

I know a quiet yet free flowing exhaust is sort of like an oxymoron, but if Perrin found a way to make it happen, it would be one heck of a system.

Thanks for the patience! 2-3 three weeks from today in boxes. MSRP being determined today actually and likely photos and preorder available online this weekend or early next week.

Jeff can answer better on the HP levels achievable with the system but I see no reason why 500 FWHP is going to be an issue, he can say better is 500WHP is ok.

Thanks again!

Yup 500 is not an issue! Whos going to be the first to 500 with the X? We have a special Blouch Gt3071R bolt on turbo on the way for ours! So 400, yes, 500 nope.

BTW this weekend we were doing some testing of the heatshield and we built a quick and dirty 3" exhaust with no muffler and the HP was exacty the same as it was with our other muffled system. So yes that muffler is not restrictive in the least! This was with our car making 350WHP the whole time.

is that v-band clamp at the lowest point of the exhaust? Is that going to pose a clearance issue for lowered vehicles? Thanks in advance! I look forward to more progress on this as I am a big fan of Perrin exhausts!
