I know it was late and i didn't have time to go weigh them.
The production parts are lighter for sure.
On our final downpipe we combined the downpipe portion with the Catpipe to save weight and costs.
OEM Downpipe and Cat pipe weighs 19.85lbs
PERRIN Downpipe w/cat weighs 8.8lbs
Savings of 11lbs!
OEM Catback weights 43.5lbs
PERRIN Catback (3pcs) 27.4lbs
Savings of 16.1lbs!
Total savings of 27.1lbs!! Now we are getting closer to getting this thing to the weight of the STI!!

ATM I'm thinking I'm going to go with your stage II kit. I talked to your tech dept and looked on your site, but i've yet to get a clear picture of what I should expect from this kit. I'd like to see what this should look like on the dyno.

I LOVE the sound of my new Perrin CBE, nice and deep...not too loud, no droning at highway speeds. Installed it over the weekend along with my Perrin adj. 25mm rear sway bar.
Did this up on Rhino ramps in my driveway. The only tough part was separating the stock heat shield around the cat and banging off those spot welded stock nuts. The rest was cake.

It's not too bad a job...no air tools required, would have been easier if I had the car up on a lift. Taking the stock CBE off was really easy since my car only has 1500 miles on it. WD-40 works great on both the hardware and the rubber exhaust hangers.
Banging off those spot-welded nuts off the cat pipe SUCKED! Use a big hammer and don't expect to ever use those stock bolts again after you beat the snot out of them.
Spreading the heat shield is easy after you remove the small nut on each side. Can you tell I used anti-seize on the new bolts?

my stock exhaust droned out so easy at like 3500 rpms, this exhaust has fixed that. i am idling much smoother and a noticable power increase.
