I know that some other companies were making a turbo like this using the stock housing with a 20 g compressor wheel and it didn't make ay where near as much power.

I believe it was AGP and even the guys at carrito were using a prototype from FP called the red, but it only made like 400 on a dynojet, which is like 340-350 tops on a mustang like yours, and you think that with some more tuning this thing will make 400 on YOUR dyno? That's crazy, how, how, how? Ugh, my wife's gonna kill me if I buy this but I don't care. Sigh...How much is it?
The base tune and the Dominator tune are almost identical, other than the modifications made to fuel the engine. It processes quite a bit of air and shows in the VE mapping. The key to making great power is exhaust capacity and the right combination of exhaust and compressor wheels. Blouch has found that compromise.

In the next week or so, when I finish some of my workload in the shop, we will push the turbo and the stock fuel system to the max. It should be able to run close to 30 psi on the stock internals. We will see and post up our results.

The 20g has nothing on this setup. I am very confident that even conservatively this turbo will make 400+ on this dyno. That would be huge. If that is the case, it looks like I will be trading in my SUV for a new Daily Driver lol.

It will be interesting to see what that trans can take. But I certainly can see a 100WHP increase NOT being a problem.

Any chance for a ball bearing version of a turbo this size coming down the pipe? Along with MIVEC tuning it would be wicked spoolup, maybe almost compression surging spoolup in top gear at low RPM?

Badass, I'm sold. Just out of curiosity, is the turbine wheel also replaced or is it just the compressor wheel that's upgraded? Release date? Great job btw, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

Both turbine and compressor wheel were upgraded.

Mike
Mike,

Any plans on making a smaller turbo? 44, 47 or 49 lbs/min?

There are 2 other smaller units that are out for testing right now. 44lb and 49lb both with turbine upgrades also. We can also offer the 20G compressor upgrade for customers looking for a small upgrade.

Fantastic! I'd be most interested in the 20g. I don't want to sacrifice spool by going with a turbo too large. I'd like to see what the dyno plots look like for the 20g.

Nick, I have been wondering one thing this whole time though. Most tuners so far have seen that with all the basic bolt-ons like intake, exhaust, FMIC, IC piping, and a reflash that IDC's are almost maxed out. This seems to put the car at about 70 whp over stock on a mustang or DD. How in the world is this thing making this much power on the stock injectors? What are the IDCs at, and are you guys using an upgraded fuel pump to help keep things in check?

i really don't think you'll be disappointed with the transient response on this turbo. honestly, this is what the green should have been but never could (on pump gas) even when folks threw every single support mod possible.
