Hey Antics,
it's down the line a bit now. How is the cone filter doing? Is it still doing ok?
Also, do you have a link for it?

Intercooler is still in the prototype phase. I think nisei got swamped by the demand of their upper and lowers so they've put a couple of projects on the back-burner. The intake being one... The FMIC should be in development... since i test-fitted the prototype back in december right before Xmas....

Ill see if i can get ahold of them and get an update for you guys... That intake BTW was great. It was a bit big IMO but they took the prototype back to look for ways to mass produce it at a reasonable cost. That intake velocity stack was a solid aluminum piece...

wow solid aluminum that's gotta be pretty pricey and maybe even needlessly heavy. Cool, yea i didn't read any intercooler updates and i saw they were still backordered on the pipes so just wondering how that was going. when you test fit it did you run it at all or was it just to see fitment?

Talk to them and tell them I will pay whatever it takes. Even if they just did a short run or something for them.

the test fitment was to make sure fitment cleared crashbeams, etc. It wasnt quite a fully functional piece. I do know that they just recently re-designed their battery trays for the 8/9s. I saw them CNC'ing the trays and battery mounts.. pretty bad-*** process! Dont forget that they still have an entire line-up of evo 8/9 stuff. The X is not the only car they make stuff for....

Excalibur, I'll mention how badly you want that intake... lol.

A buddy of mine is running this setup and it fits perfectly. The pipes are designed to fit with the OEM IC and the AMS IC is designed to fit OEM pipes...so there shouldn't be any issues.

i was running the ets 4" it fit like crap. ETS stated that it was a botched intercooler that went out by mistake. They also failed to disclose that you DO INDEED have to modify the front crash beam support in order to fit it. I was very disappointed with it. I think i posted pics somewhere on this forum regarding their poor fitment.
