Tranny no longer notchy even when cold

I recently hit 5900 miles and it dawned on me that my tranny is no longer notchy in any gear, wheter the vehicle is warm or cold. The car now shifts just as smoothly as any manual car i have owned. I was wondering if many other people are gettingthis as well or am i just a lucky guy tooting my own horn.

humm , interesting - maybe its just a matter of breaking-in the tranny ? I've never had this issue but I hope for everyone else that its nothing serious as yours tuned out to be .

I just hit 1k miles and it has definitely smoothed out in the last 100 miles. Occassionally I get a little notch in 2nd or 3rd, but for the first 900 miles it was on almost every shift, now 1 in 20. People were mentioning this same smooth-out at 1k in the sticky thread so I had my fingers crossed.

Liking it! Not missing the X transmission. Missing the X handling and the super grippy X seats a lot.

My tranny was always notchy till I put some redline and ams bushings in it. Now it was perrrfect.

It never stopped me from shifting it hard though. I love my tranny! Shifts perfect at 8k.

yeah i have made a lot of spirited shifts and once i finally figured out that my clutch doesnt like the full swing of the arm, i am shifting like a pro lol. I barely blip the clutch and pop the gears. before i was using almost full swing of the clutch and getting lots of lockout.

lol geo I'm still stock but i swear the car begs for those redline shifts.. i swear it i say!
