But, I used to have the TypeS until it melted (2x). They stopped making this DV a year or 2 ago. I now have a cool paper weight though. The problem with them was that they had a rubber diaphram inside of them, if it got too hot it could bind/stick and tear.
Just an FYI - you cannot run VTA on our MAF equipped cars. Lots of issues.

I hope you are joking.If not, no - not a choice unless you go MAP. OE is good in the new X and IX. We got hosed with a plastic leaky one on the 8s.
If you are looking for the "cool" blow-off sound - a cone filter will make it audiable. At least that was true with the 8 and 9. I have not dug into the X much. Dont see any around.
You can actually run VTA on the 10, we have been for some time and there are zero issues. The 10 is very different from the 8's and 9's, there are a number of things you can and can't do over prior generations.
There are of coure exceptions on VIII's and X's. But the bottom line is, the air vented from a BOV is metered air that has been accounted for in the ECU. To vent this away can cause issues. Why risk it?

I doubt HKS (A fairly established tuner) would sell a BOV kit for the X thats VTA if VTA was a bad choice for the car.
but hey if your still parinoid and want to compair two compleately different engines in the matter of to VTA or not to VTA then thats your porrogitive. you can always get the recirculation kit.
