Speaking of lag, how do you like the 4" ETS you have? Is there any noticeable lag going from the stock core to a 4"? I like the ETS intercoolers, but I'm a little undecided on how thick to go.

I didn't notice any additional lag when I had the 4" ETS on my car with stock turbo and stock tubing.

depends on what you want really
AMS FMIC is $699
Buschur is $759
The buschur FMIC is better all around from AMS. It holds more power and has a bigger surface area then AMS. Problem with this is the buschur FMIC is that you'd have to do some minor drilling and cutting to install it. AMS fits right in with no cutting.
I like buschur better then AMS, but i also don't want to do some minor drilling and cutting. I don't plan on going bigger turbo anyway so AMS will be fine for me. I only looked into those two FMIC's so i don't know if another company has a better one. This is just my two cents tho..
here's the link to both of them:

Well I ended up going with the 3" ETS intercooler and the full UICP and LICP. Figured it would suit my needs of being mildly modified and not introducing more lag or anything by going too big.

so ive been looking around vigorously for a complete intercooler piping kit. at first i was gonna go with either ets or ams but then i found that COBB had just released an amazing kit, which also includes a hard pipe for the BOV return. Check it out i give it and it is reasonably priced

stikllr13 - I sent you a PM.

Random/Odd Question - You ever see any Ariel Atoms over there? I had a buddy that was looking into getting a job in Ashland helping build Ariel Atoms.

Thanks!

Michael

I have a 4" core ic with 3" inlets and outlets, going to make a few, since there seems to be some interest in them, probably about $450 final depending on the final costs. It will require drilling a few holes for the top mounting brackets.

yea i actually live down the road from their old manufacturing shop. so almost every day i would see them cruising around town to test their new models. I think the company is called BRAMO and my sister is also trying to work for them. I have ridden in one and they are really crazy!!!1

Perrin Core has a greater cooling surface area than the 2 companies that have 4 inch thick ICs. Also you only see cooling surface when you look at the front of the car with perrins as opposed to the welds on some others. It doesnt matter how think a IC is. It matters how well it flows and how much surface area is used for cooling. To give a good analogy if you have foot long ***** but if it as thick as a pencil it wont get the job done. You need a good balance of lenth, width, and depth to get the job done.

I'm SOOO in on this one. Looks sweet compared to the other big name ones and much less money. Here's pics:
