Best bang for buck Intercooler kit?

Hey all,

I know there are several intercooler upgrades and IC pipe kits out there but whats the best bang for buck kit? I have an ETS intake, and Buschur catback now and want to do the bolt on mods before i get my tuning done. I intend to complete the catback as a turboback also.

Thanks for your help,

Brandon

I'd say stick with the stocker for now. Right now the limiting factor on the intercoolers is the end tank. I just don't see any out there that significantly increase the frontal surface area for better cooling.

Well the stocker is adequate, but the upgraded intercoolers out there flow better and bring charge temps down quite a bit. There really is no downside from getting extra HP out of an upgraded intercooler, in fact as long as the core isn't so big as to induce lag, it's some of the safest HP you can add to a turbocharged car.

That FMIC looks decent but it could stand to be a couple inches wider to use the entire bumper opening. Not sure why you are jabbin at Buschur like that.

For intercooler, i can't say which one is best bang for the buck, but i personally would get the ARC if i had that much money to blow. But i will go with the Perrin, once i up the power.
