Hallman Boost Control

I recently put a Hallman MBC on my X and had a few questions. I'm not sure how many of you have put this on as well but I am trying to get the boost set just right but this seems very difficult. First off, what is a safe boost for an un-tuned, semi moded x? I have 3" UICP, Agency Intake & Turbo pipe, and a test pipe. I was thinking 24-25 but wanted to check with the community. The way I have it set now it peeks at about 26 maybe 27 and then holds fairly steady anywhere from 20 - 23. Just wanted some suggestions and wanted to see if anyone else had this MBC on their X.

Thanks!

I have the hallman MBC on my car and it is set to spike to 24.8 psi and drop to around 19 at redline. With the MBC it all depends on the weather on my car. Because first thing in the morning when it is like 70 degrees it will spike to 26.1 and then in the afternoon when it is 90 degree it will be around 24.8. If I where you I would shoot for right under 25 psi. Plus what gear are you setting you mbc up in? I used 3rd gear form 1500rpm to redline to set it.

Thanks!! Good to hear that it is not just me that has it drop down so much. I was hoping that was normal and it sounds like it is. I am doing the same, 3rd from about 15 to red.

I would want 24 psi for a Evo X that is being used as a DD. Using 26-27 psi on a DD is just to aggresive and is putting more strain on the motor then you want.

Does a MBC make power?

Would it work with an MR?

it allows you to run more boost than stock and helps a little with tappering.

Right. Because you're running more boost you should feel a difference right?

Let's say simple mods, air intake, UIC, and MBC what kind of gains are you looking at? I know the air intake and UIC by themselves make next to nothing, maybe 10whp.
