MBC in New England?

I know there are tons of "vs" threads but not too many talking about below freezing weather conditions and boost spikes with an MBC.

Anyone with first hand experience? Does an EBC really save you or is all wishful thinking?

im no expert on this but i just got the ebc installed in my x and i live in ct. If anyone can help me out with my experience it would be appreciated as well. so far i have noticed boost spike in 4th 5th gear on the highway. To control the spike i set channel 2 for highway to limit the boost spike with good sucess.
channel 1 is set for local roads, and allows the ebc to hold mope boost down low. i have a blitz ebc, but want to upgade to hks. got the bliz cheap

I read Blitz is pretty good, simple and reliable. Maybe HKS has the bling.

I find it hard to believe noone can offer experience on the MBC. How about 8/9 owners?
