i actually run a tial 50mm and switched to a blow through setup to keep this from happening.
good info.

does anyone else notice richer AFRs on their wideband using a vta setup? what are the side effects of running rich longer after a shift? premature sparkplug fouling and hesitation at low rpms?

You only run rich (if at all) between shifts, not after. Only when BOV blows, to be precise.

Tech you run rich after the bov opens up maybe you shift maybe you don't. if you are driving hard and go quickly into the next gear you would never notice. but if you run it hard for a gear or part of a gear then don't get on it quickly after the bov opens and you shift (or don't) then you will see richer air fuel ratios for longer. if you are driving an untuned X then you definitely see rich A/F between shifts.

How can you see richer air fuel ratios? How can you feel the rich? Does the car rev hang between shifts? Does the rev drop immediately during a shift?

solution: buy whatever BOV that you want, then set it up for recirc= no issues! Im getting the SSQV and people who have it recirc still have substantial BOV noise if thats what your looking for
