There are way too many possible explanations for why one person's setup would cause an issue when another person's doesn't, even when they are making similar power.
:::STARES at ASC lamp, and yells, "Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop!!!!!:::

Actually, I did find out that Mitsubishi is releasing an update for the software on the SAWC system, and one 'fix' is supposedly the random ASC lamp. This came from a Mitsu dealer, and a bulletin is pending according to the service manager.

Yay, I've got mail! Yaaaaaayyyyyy!

Lets see if it comes to fruition. It does sure seem that some cars are more sensitive than others.

For sure! I noticed when I run 50/50 E85/93oct that the lamp hardly ever comes on. I'm having the car tuned for higher boost & E85 fuel, so I can run it harder when I want to, and still not have to spend big money on mods. Have to see how the ASC freaks out once it's done on Monday.

Had the car out the other evening in a snow covered parking lot, got the back end out a couple times, the service light came on, I stopped, turned off and on the car, and the light stayed off.

Have the same issue after installing the same BOV on my X. It's set on full recirc so I'm not sure why this would change anything unless my stocker was leaking

bah...i'm having the same issue after my stage 2 + aem reflash using cobb ap...
that light is freakin annoying...i have a stock bov...when i turn off the engine and turn it back on...the light goes away...only to come back on shortly after, i reset the ecu and the light stays off for good...but the car runs like crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrap! lol

i reflashed it again...and the ligiht stayed off for a while...several hours infact...i thought the problem was going to be solved...nope...

in regards to the random asc service light fix from the dealers...does anyone have an update on that? is the fix/patch released yet?
