I am in the market for a Dry Sump Oil System.

Preferably a 3 stage, but 4 stage will work as well.

Before the usual dumb a$$ comments, (why would you want one? ect)

READ- http://www.enginebuildermag.com/Arti...g_systems.aspx

I know it is not for everyone, and there would be handful of people that would probably invest in one of these.... but I am just throwing it out there.

Anyone looked into this or considering?

Anyone planning on building a custom set up?

AMS? You guys gonna make a kit?

Thanks,

Chris

BUMP!

Got an email back from Cosworth, they said they are going to make one, just have no ETA on price, or when it will be 100% complete.

For the evo 8-9 We are just waiting for brackets at this point. They are scheduled to be here at the end of feb. This is taking a little longer due to the decision to cast them but it is guaranteed to be an awesome part. Pricing should be released in the next few days. We will see how the demand for the EVO X is and then decide if we are going to design a kit for that vehicle

Are there huge gains to be had with the dry sump system?

Tim,

PM me a price for a custom 1 off if there is no demand for one. I am in need of 1 .
You guys are going to use one for the new X Time Attack car right?

If so, just make an extra! I have no problem paying top dollar for one.

20-30 whp if I am not mistaken depending on power level... and probably more, if you have a very well built high boost application.

Plus the piece of mind that your motor will be very well lubricated, and oil starvation is almost out of the question.

Very cool and very hardcore but it would be overkill for 99% of enthusiasts here, myself included.

not for me
I like the idea to have a hard core stuff, available upon request.

This is definitely pretty hard core, but it all depends on how serious you are about competition. Only issue aside from price, to me, is that this sounds like a really intricate and difficult install. Very cool stuff, though. Good luck man, I hope you get it worked out.

Subscribed!! I want this BAD too. Hard to put a price on reliability for me. Just the thought of having to teardown a motor gives me chills.

Was looking at the photos on the link you posted of dry sump vs wet sump, and I think they labeled the photos wrong. The bottom one is dry sump, and the top is wet sump.

I am not aware of this company, but a search on google came up with this:

http://insightmotorsports.com.au/pro...mp-159-65.html

Insight motorsports. It seems they are producing a unit for superlap battle. I may contact them to find out more. I have not seen them on this community, so I am a little wary.

edit: also this is for a CT9A I know the OP is for an X so a little OT but it's a start!

edit#2: Just saw they are in Australia..LOL. Oh well maybe they can ship over here. Dissapointing that US shops are behind the curve on this one.
