New Deatsch Werks 800 cc injectors.

Just got a set of the new Deatsch Werks 800 cc injectors in a few weeks ago.

I finally got around to dropping the injectors into the EVOX and I have to say I am impressed.

These are a direct drop in, the install only takes about 30 minutes (if you don't drop anything and lose it, like I did).

The RC's work very good too but they require a new fuel rail stand that is harder to install and it requires you either cutting your factory fuel injector wiring and installing new connectors or an adapter harness.

The DW 800's dropped in directly. The pricing is incredibly low too at only $399.

I have them in my car now and they are dialed in, the car is running excellent.

Here's a picture of the injectors:

David, I know you've been on aftermarket fuel injectors for a while, but I'm wondering what your IDCs are running now? (or IPW if you prefer, I can do the math )

I do not have IDC or IPW's, sorry. I am using a simple scan tool for tuning and it doesn't read either.

Those are not modified stock injectors. The stock injectors look much different.

I just ordered a set, hope they're pretty easy to dial in. Were you able to just dial it in with the supplied latency info? Or did you have to tweak it a bit?

Can we get a comparison pic of the stock injectors?

If i recall the stock injectors have a very long pintle and I am wondering how all these injectors that are being released compare to the stock injectors. The spray area of a stock injector must be completely different than that of these aftermarket injectors.

I would imagine the stock injectors get a better spray area, but these aftermarket injectors just release more fuel.....

I think the market needs a stock replacement the same size and length as a stock injector....

Thanks for delivering a great product!

For no other reason but my own curiosity I have to ask: What is the purpose of the longer nozzle design? Why would Mitsubishi choose that over the normal nozzle?

How much extra fuel should we expect to expend with the larger injectors with and without a turbo upgrade? It is bad enough getting 4.6mpg at a road course and not being able to drive more than 57 minutes without filling up again

Sorry let me rephrase my question. I know he commented that the RC's were good as well, but in terms of performance is there one with a bigger advantage over the other is what I'm looking for.
