Can a 4B11T block be swaped with 4B12s?

robevo very good point i agree with what your saying for a drag car my head is kinda in the road and auto-x point of view but 500+whp evos are rare there but the added torque might be a plus at any rate im sure at some point someone will develop a stroker and might use the 4b12 for it i guess only time will tell.

the other thing about the ratios is in the 8,9s someone (bushur?) makes a 4.11 final drive change i wonder if they can reverse it and go up for the X ???? when i was in blaktrax's X at road america even at stockish power levels the gearing was way too low for my (or anyones liking) with the excepting of 5th seeming kinda outta place ...
Kinda off topic im not a 4b11t junkie yet what are they safe to rev to stock so far???

My rev limiter is at 8k. I have a drop in and a cat back. + tune.
no problem what so ever.
I see the use of the stroke engine in autoX though.
But it will bump you up somewhere, where you dont want to be , unless you are a very experienced driver, with a very good supporting set up. Like Drive train + chassis + suspension + tires...

I say be patient, unless you want to spend the money to develop this stuff yourself. There are countless shops across the GLOBE right now using the 4b11t to make it stronger and faster. Just like the 4g series, it takes time. If you would like to whet your appetite, look up the X's that are doing VERY well in the various rallies around the world already this year.

I know they are winning major events yet, but 1 year into a new system and they are winning anything is quite impressive in my opinion.

I'll be waiting. Someone will eventually make one. I come from a DSM background, stroking and swapping was cheap for those cars.
