Anyone know the crank specs of the 2.4L?

Anyone know the crank specs of the 2.4L 4B12 crank? I just want to see if the crank is compatible in the 4B11T block on paper.

Evo X crank specs:
ConRod pin diameter = 51.9~ mm
Block journal diameter = 56~ mm

Thanks in advance!

somewhat OT, but is the "Block journal diameter" the diameter around where the connecting rod attaches to the crank? I have been wondering if this is the same on the 4B11 and 4B11T (if Evo X rods will work on a lancer crank with no modification to either part)

Incorrect. The "block journal diameter" is the journal diameter of the crank mating to the block. The "ConRod pin diameter" is what you are looking for. Here are the specs of the 4B11... the Evo x rods will not mate to the Lancer's crank.

4B11:
ConRod pin diameter = 47.9~ mm
Block journal diameter = 56~ mm

Best bet is to put in the Evo's crank, rods and pistons on. But if you want to go that far, might as well purchase aftermarket rods and pistons.

haha ok thanks man, but im pretty sure the conrod pin diameter is the dimater of the pin that holds the rod to the piston lol......that wouldnt matter seeing as I would be buying aftermarket rods and pistons anyways. im just wondering if evo x rods (the BIG end) with fit on a lancer crank; i know lancer pistons wont work with evo rods haha

the diameter of the part in the circle is what I am wondering the dimensions of lol....

I'm pretty sure I wrote it out correctly but apologies for the confusion. lol. I am not talking about the piston pin, but rather the crankshaft pin where the connecting rod mates to. lol. Here's a screenshot of the 2 service manuals side by side. lol.

ahhhhhh alright! haha thanks for clearing it up man, and where did you get those .pdf files anyways?? those would be good to have haha so i guess an evo crank will fit into a lancer block, but evo rods wont fit on a lancer crank. glad you found this stuff!!

damn, that makes things a lot harder and more expensive lol guess i will have to wait a while before building my motor! at that point, i would probably get an Evo X short block.......do you know if a lancer head will bolt up to an evo block? or if the accessories (power steering, AC, alternator, etc.) will bolt up to an evo block the same?
