Upgrading Fuel Pump??

I know theres alot of people upgrading their fuel pumps to walbro 255 pumps but i was wondering how everyone is going about their setup?

I know ultimate racing has a install kit with a metal retainer but it gets rid of the fuel filter i belive which means you need their upgraded one ($150)

correct meif im wrong though

if i get the ur kit is it neccessary to have the upgraded fuel filter??

thanks in advance

You would think a fuel pump upgrade would have been on the top shops first upgrade list. Even if the oem pump can handle most of the mods people are doing it seems to me that a higher flowing fuel pump would have been offered by everyone by now. I know Buschur is working on a double pumper so I'll just wait for it...

The most difficult part is being able to physically install an inline fuel filter into the Evo X's fuel line. Our kit comes with the quick dis/connect fittings to make your life a whole lot easier. Not to mention there's no permanent modifications or cutting required.

Hi Darryl,

I'm in the process of researching fuel pump upgrades now, it seems like your's is pretty straightforward and plug-n-play. Is this a correct statement?
