Front bumper beam is retained. I only left it off for the pictures.

Nice. UR makes great products, and seem to be the cheapest price too.

For a relative comparison and your reading pleasure see: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...rcooler-2.html. The prices for these FMIC are dated so please be advised.

I've never used their piping so I'm not sure to be honest.

Our FMIC is designed to work with factory piping, and our own IC piping.

This looks awesome, and 20 whp sounds almost too good to be true. I am seriously considering this, but I just have a few questions. For starters, are hot spots an issue with a core this thick? Also, how is there no loss in spool? On the 9, and most turbo cars in general, larger cores take longer to pressurize and thus increase lag. The 9 and the X both use the exact same core, just with different end tanks obviously, and ICs on the 9 didn't make any more power (until giant turbos were used) and just increased lag. How is the X able to overcome this? I am guessing that it possibly has something to do with the fact that the compressor housing of the X's turbo is insanely close to the manifold, which tends to heat up the air going into the ic a bit more and thus heat soak it a bit (at least this is what perrin's testing showed). Is this a possible explanation as to why ICs actually make a difference on the X? Thanks for any info.

Nice! I would think the shipping costs from canada would negate the price advantage over buschur's though.

The HKS unit, which has the greatest volume of the vendors I looked at including UR, made 10whp but when you add their pipes, they achieved 20whp relative to OEM. For those that have made comparisons, flow increases and temp.'s are lower. Perrin's silence suggests that their R&D heat shield, designed to reduce the very high temp into the FMIC, is not working out. So at this point, a larger FMIC is an essential/benficial piece for the X.

Actually, we recently negotiated some kick *** shipping rates with UPS. Shipping cost for this FMIC across country (say...Toronto to Cali) is only $28.
