I use the Blitz, SBC iColor, and a manual boost controller, both of which are amazing and i love having them. the Blitz is slightly expensive, and you can find the same thing from another company at a lower price....

Will you hit boost cut at WOT with a test pipe?

The only problem is that I don't live anywhere near a reputable tuner. I live in SC.

Jestr- FL, 6 hrs away
Buschur- OH, 11-12 hrs away
AMS- IL, 15 hrs away

No one around here knows how to tune, at least from what I've heard. It's a possibility that I might drive to Buschur this spring or summer. But it's still a long trip regardless.

Well then I would wait until someone else chimes in who is running Testpipe untuned, i ran mine untuned for like 3 days and no problems, but I took it easy and didn't boost full out too much.

I personally haven't heard of people having problems with untuned test pipes but I guess wait until someone says something for sure.

You can run a test pipe untuned. No problems...

A resonated test pipe will only make it marginally quieter. in fact a good HFC is not that much different in noise than a test pipe. meaning good, as in flows well. a HFC that doesn't flow well, may be quieter, but then will rob you of power.

just an FYI - I am running a test pipe.

The test pipe does add a little noise, but you do get a performance gain anytime you remove a restriction out of the system. We sell a test pipe for $259.00 which includes a J-style o2 bung that prevents any type of CEL.

The pipes are designed for off road use, so be careful when it comes emission time.

Thanks!

Michael

I don't care if it increases noise at all. In fact, I wouldn't mind if it was a little louder. The only thing I do care about is hitting fuel cut at WOT, like when racing someone for instance. But I suppose if you don't gun it in certain gears you would avoid fuel cut. But what's the fun in that?

Is it necessary to use PB blaster or another kind of penetrating oil to aid in removing the O2 sensors? I've heard they can be a real pain or even seize while removing them.

i just put on the UR resonated test pipe... is amazing! you will need to head the o2 sensore with map gas, this was not a fun job! i used PB blaster also but the map gas was sufficient....

I used liquid wrench (let sit for 10 minutes) and an impact gun with an appropriate O2 socket and it came right off.

I bought an Evo X Test pipe on Ebay.. fit with no problems. Paid ~$100, couldn't be happier. Guess you could buy a name-brand one if you want though!
