ETS Intake

Question.

The BOV on the ETS intake relocates it to the front of the car. For those of you who have an ETS intake, do you cut the long intake rubber pipe that comes from the charge pipe to make it properly hook up.

At the moment I cannot get the intake pipe to align properly without running into the battery cover. Additionally, when I position he intake pipe correctly I cannot get a good seal around the turbo intake...

I know the issue is most likely my fault considering i worked duringthe day and night yesterday, but any help is appreciated. Especially regarding the BOV placement and why there is not another rubber hose/pipe included with the kit....

Thanks.

I had the same problem with the intake pipe not wanting to seal good and not lining up very well. I think I ended up putting the coupler on the turbo first and tightening the clamp then sliding the intake pipe into the coupler. I had to make the aluminum bracket/shield work too, it was off a little. I didnt have any issues with the BOV hoses. Maybe your missing a hose.

Spool thanks for the response.. I was attempting to do the first part, but i just started to rain so I am waiting it out..

2nd the heta shield so far does not look like it is going to line up but ill worry about that later.

The third issue, the BOV pipe, I have one long tube, maybe one foot, it goes from the intake pipe to the BOV at the front of the car. Now my issue the BOV now is in a new location, am I missing a pipe that goes from the bottom of the BOV to the turbo charge pipe near the bottom of the intercooler...

Yeah it sounds like you are missing the second blue BOV hose. I bet you could make the stock hose work. Like I said I had the same problem with the heat shield not fitting. I just had to do a little bending on it. This is how it all came out.

Hey Guys!

Sorry, we were closed this weekend! Just saw this thread. If you run the black silicone hose option you have to cut your lower hose since we don't offer a version in black YET! The next silicone order which will be placed shortly, will have black lower BOV hoses.

If you have any questions give me a call. 360-263-3748 or PM!

Sorry for the inconvenience! On your next order let me know you had to cut your stock lower section and I will take a discount off the next order for the inconvenience!

Thanks,

Michael

Michael,

If you knew this ahead of time why didn't you say anything, I would have just ordered the blue... Now I have my car sitting outside undrivable because you a little piece of information you did not share. I am not cutting my stock hoses. That would mean in the future I would have to buy a new stock hose... and then why are we charged the same amount for the intake if there are fewer parts... Thourougly confused...

Maybe it is just the angle, but your shield does not look lined up correctly. From my install:

We try to give as much information as possible. I'm very sorry about the confusion I can send over a OEM lower hose so you have a replacement.

let me know! It also might be easier if you give me a call at 360-263-3748
