PERRIN Oil Catch Can Placement

I haven't seen many threads regarding oil catch can placement and installation, so I thought I'd share a picture of where I placed mine. I used the straight bracket on the bottom side of the catch can, and attached the other end to the air intake box bolt. It is kind of tight, but the wiring harnesses in this area can be tucked out of the way to make room for the catch can. There is an angled plastic lip that is part of the air box down by the bolt. When you bolt down the catch can, the bracket will mark up this plastic lip a little bit. It's nothing serious, but you could probably space the bracket up with some washers so that it clears the plastic lip, and it should still clear the hood as well. If you face the input/output nipples on the catch can toward the motor, then the hood will clear the hoses without problems.

What lines did you hook this into?

It goes between the valve cover vent and turbo inlet pipe. If you look at the back side of your turbo inlet pipe, it is the larger of the two lines that connect to it. Follow the line to the valve cover to see where the other side connects.

this is a definitely a must for those running aftermarket intakes with no input for the valve cover vent.

Not yet, but it has only been on there for about 25 miles. When I took the stock line out, I noticed that there was a little bit of oil residue in there. This is with 5500 miles on the car.

Good job, looks nice.

Can you take some pic's showing the hose attachments?

I guess you won't be needing that hood prop rod anymore.

Looks good. It will help in a long run having a catch can.
