There is a fuel pump relay that triggers high and low voltage to the fuel pump that can act up and stop working properly. Once you get that working properly I would also consider just replacing the fuel pump with a Walbro 255 LPH and not worry about it as much. You can get the HB Speed or Ultimate Racing adapter to mount it in the Evo X Fuel pump assembly or go the cheap route and mount it yourself based on the guide by MeatEvo at "theotherevoforums".
